      Hi everyone,

I’m new to Windy and have started using it recently to check weather conditions before early morning travel.

I often need to plan journeys to the airport, especially around Manchester, and I’ve found that checking wind, rain, fog, and visibility can really help decide what time to leave.

For example, early morning fog or heavy rain can make a big difference when driving to the airport, especially if the journey is around 40–60 minutes.

I wanted to ask how others here use Windy for travel planning.

Which layers do you usually check before setting off?
Do you mainly use radar, wind, visibility, or rain forecast?

Would love to hear how everyone uses it for airport runs or long-distance travel.

      Thanks!
