Using Map Forecast API in a Native Desktop App
-
Hello!
We are planning to integrate the Map Forecast API (Professional) into an internal corporate project and would like to confirm some details regarding our technical setup to ensure we are fully compliant with the Terms of Use.Our application is a native Windows desktop program (not a public website). We intend to display the full interactive Windy map with all animations within the application’s interface.
Does this setup align with Windy's Terms of Use for Professional API users? We want to confirm that our API key will not be flagged or blocked for being used within a native desktop environment instead of a public-facing domain.
Thank you!

Sorry about your first post; I couldn't remove it from the queue. I don’t know why. -
@Kateryna-Neroda
Hope a member of the Windy staff provide you with some information.

@Kateryna-Neroda Hello, regarding to information you gave us, I would say it is okay with our terms of use, however, I would like to know the purpose of your app. If your app is a certain type of weather forecast app, then it violates our terms of use.

@Suty Hello!
Thank you for your reply!
Unfortunately, I cannot give any details on the app's purpose, but it's not any kind of weather forecast. -
@Kateryna-Neroda Could this info be provided in the private chat or email? If it could, please send further details at support@windy.com.
