Adding Swell Period to Alert Settings

Not sure if anyone has asked, but would it be possible to look into adding swell period as a parameter into a personal alert? Would be a great feature for boating when comparing with wave heights.

I do not see the point of a swell period alert for boating, except on beach for very light crafts (long-period swell is more powerful and dangerous when reaching shallow waters, not on open sea).
The Waves alert is in fact a Swell alert. I guess this alert was designed for surfers who are mainly interested in swell conditions.
Note that Waves in Windy is the total sea as described in this thread. and so it includes the swell.
If you want to make comparisons you better check the detailed forecast tables and diagrams for waves.
