      I'm a premium user who heavily relies on Windy's wind, current, wave, and weather layers for spearfishing and diving. For a specific dive spot, it would be incredibly useful to have an embedded LLM tool that tells me whether conditions are likely to result in good underwater visibility.

      While the app already offers alerts based on user-defined thresholds, an AI assistant would take it further—by understanding my personal dive preferences (e.g., target species, depth range, tolerance for chop) and suggesting alternative dive spots that match my style.

      From a business perspective, embedding an AI tool could also unlock new revenue streams for Windy, including anonymized user insight data for fisheries or tourism research, as well as targeted advertising from dive gear brands, charters, or coastal accommodations.

        @Rodion49
        Where could Windy find all this parameter data ?
        Do you know data sources for underwater visibility, fish species …?

          @idefix37 LLM tools are capable of integrating multiple data layers to determine good spearfishing visibility—specifically wind direction, wind speed, wave direction, wave frequency, wave height, current direction, current strength, and cloud cover. When paired with geospatial data such as depth maps, cove locations, and bottom composition, the model becomes even more powerful.

          Add biological data—like which fish species prefer which conditions and their migration patterns—and I see no reason why this couldn't be done.

          Windy doesn't need to build an LLM from scratch. They simply need to partner with an AI company that already offers tailored solutions for different sectors. The data exists. The technology exists. The use case is clear.

            but to answer your question: No, I don't know any databases by name to source this.

              @Rodion49 Hello, you are right about this potential in AI usage, but for now, we are cautious with using AI in this way, since we still talk about non-deterministic tool and we need to careful with providing this kind of data to our users.
