Summer thunderstorms⛈️🔔
-
Hi, are these my settings/notifications correct so that I get notifications that hot, humid thunderstorms are coming to Finland on Tuesday/Wednesday from the southeast?👍🏻😍👇🏻🔔⛈️⛈️
I love this app but I also need help.

@Tsei28 Hi, I would say that your Storm and Heavy rain mobile alerts are enough (or they should, but if your work, etc., depends on it, I would trust more Ilmatieteen laitos).
Your conditions for your own alert look too complicated to me, and I presume that all the conditions will never be met at the same time (it is an AND-operator), and nothing will come out. Also, your requirement of south-east approaching storm is not necessarily assured by selecting the wind direction "all" 5-20 m/s (the front is not following the ground wind, anyway)
I have noticed that creating one simple alert per phenomenon works the best for me, allowing me to adjust the criteria for each alert more accurately by experience: like one alert for the wind from certain direction(s) and one alert for the rain. Forget the cloudiness - IMO.
Stay safe! -

Already explained in this thread
And you seemed to have understood. Apparently not ? -
@Canne okay thanks I trust the forecasts of the Finnish Meteorological Institute.. but apparently I need to simplify the system of my own notifications so that I can utilize this, thanks for the answer 🙂 👍🏻 this is just dear to me because thunderstorms and related weather phenomena are really close to my heart..😍❤️

@idefix37 thank you for trying to learn but it's difficult sometimes I don't want to be a bother, sorry 👍🏻❤️

@Tsei28
The small bell turns blue only if an alert is triggered.
In your case does the model predict between 10 and 20mm during 12h in the next days?
Why do you limit the rain amount to 20mm? I would recommend setting the max threshold to 100mm otherwise if the forecast is for example 23mm, you won't receive an alert. -
@idefix37 I got most of the alarms active!.👍🏻
