EC AIFS

Hi,

Is there a plan to add EC AIFS as a data source? It is an independent model to the EC Deterministic and would provide another valuable model comparison.

@adamc6014 I completely agree they should add the EC AIFS as a separate model I hope they will do that?

ECMWF AIFS has a 0.25° latitude-longitude grid (roughly 27km spacing at the equator).
So, it could be used for long term forecast.

Hello, AIFS was tested already in Windy in the past. Right now, there is no plan to add this model.

@Suty hey suty many people are asking for the EC AIFS. Pivotal weather, weatherbell Analytics, and tropical tidbits all have that weather model and I know windy can have it too

Rain forecast maps show rain from early in the morning till now.

@Suty EC AIFS V2 was made operational about two weeks ago, so it might be worth looking at it again.
