      Hello,

I have a feature suggestion for future development.

Some background: I am a pilot who uses Windy in a fairly remote location. The official government weather resources are limited, so Windy is my primary weather source for preflight planning.

It would be a helpful feature to be able to download a series of layers for a specific area over a period of time. For example, let's say I check the weather at 6:00 in the morning. I then go and fly for the next 6 to 7 hours. But I do not have any internet access during that time.

It would be a very helpful feature if I could download specific forecast layers (Thunderstorms, Cloud base, Cloud tops, etc.) for a specified period of time. (Ex: a 4-hour window from 11:00 - 15:00) If the feature could be paired with the route planning feature, I think it could go together well and add significant value to those using Windy in a more remote setting.

So, to conclude, the needs would be:

      • Select layers/forecasts for download
      • Select window of time
      • Select area or route for which to download specified layers/forecasts

I am a Premium member, and would be glad to answer any further questions.

      Thank you

@benjamin.porch Hello, unfortunately, there is no plan to offer this anymore. We tested this behavior in the past and it was decided to stop this project.
