Forecast model STILL not saved. iOS

Re: Default model not saved I am opening direct from iOS app not a widget. The solutions suggested over the last few years are at best unhelpful but mostly irrelevant.
I do not want to start with previous overly, and even doing so does not address or fix the issue. . I want to have a toggle in settings that allow me to select the default configuration outer. I do not want to always start with ECMWF just because it comes first in the alphabet. When I close the app and reopen, it’s back to ECMWF.
If there is a setting which I can’t see which achieves this specific function, please let me know. Otherwise please fix this very old bug.
