FireFox Latest ...Windy not workin correctly
-
Latest FF on Win11Pro PC, squeaky clean installation no junk or third party modifications does not work as it should. Wind director arrows do not show as they should ....instead as diagonal blocks from bottom left of screen to top right. When I use Vivaldi everything is correct and works as it should.
Anyone know what is going on ??Cheers

@Lestrade Can you share the screenshot or recording of that behavior?
-
@Suty Hi There, here is what I see. Only now on latest version FireFox.
This does not happen on ...
Vivaldi
Zen
Waterfox
LibrewolfTrust this helps,
Thanks.

@Lestrade Do you use any custom settings in Firefox? Can you test this in the private tab?
-
@Suty Hi, OK, I did the following:
Disabled the few extensions I had (4 Ad Blockers well known)
1Password
Firefox Colour
TranslationPlugin OpenH264
WidevineRe-enabled with extensions again an still same result.
Restarted and opened in Private window and new tab and still exactly the same result.
In Vivaldi and Waterfox and Librewolf and Zen all works as it should. -
@lestrade You mentioned that you re-enabled them and test it? Did you test the behavior completely without these tools enabled?
-
@Suty Forgive delayed response.......Yes I re enabled and same result.
Yes, I did test the behaviour completely without these tools enabled and same result.
Baffling scenario. -
@Lestrade Hello, I am still afraid that this glitch in the app is still caused by some individual changes in the setting of your browser. We have never met this kind of trouble and we don't have any other case or user with this.

@ibits Does this happen in any other browsers?
-
Hi @Lestrade, @ibits, could you test this behaviour on the radar and satellite layers and see whether they also have any kind of rendering issue? Could you also send us a screenshot of the whole viewport (ideally the same layer you reported earlier), so we have more context? From the provided screenshot, I cannot even identify which layer it is. Thank you!
Regarding the issue, we already had some problems with FF, and it was always some setting related to color management or fingerprinting. Also, could you tell us when you started noticing this error? It could be related to a specific FF version, and an update might resolve it. You could check the following topic, where we already discussed it: https://community.windy.com/post/223049
