Target cross > Center on map?

Hello,

I’m wondering and ask myself, is there an option to place the forecast/target cross at the map center?
On my screen it’s more likely in the upper quarter.

IMO: a centred position has a better view of my surroundings

@Peter-Praum Hello, this is set this way on purpose. We want to have the area still displayed, when the forecast detail is open for instance.

I feel it’s an unintuitive and unexpected UX/UI behaviour. Tapping a forecast location automatically centres the location to where the crosshairs presently are but I feel it would make more sense to have the crosshair position not conflict with standard mobile map behaviour.

On Apple iOS, one-handed zoom (double-tap and hold and swipe up/down) assumes the zoom target is centred on screen.

With the crosshairs positioned about one-third from the top, zooming forces users to pan after every adjustment just to re-centre the point they’re inspecting. This adds unnecessary friction.

Please add an option to center the crosshairs (or make it the default).

I often double-tap and swipe up or down to zoom in and out to get a quicker macro/micro perspective on the weather and it’s very annoying the cross-hairs aren’t centred where I’m zooming in/out from.
