Major glitch with wind accumulation layer

EDIT: I just noticed many other people have also reported the same problem in another part of the Windy threads, but thought it'd be good to post about it in this Bugs report section as well.
A major glitch has suddenly appeared with the wind accumulation layer in both the desktop and mobile versions of Windy.
It's displaying huge areas of unrealistically high values and it quickly gets far worse the further you look ahead in time. In fact, after several days lead time, it covers the whole world with values well over 1000 km/hr !
It seems like it's incrementally adding the wind gust values for each forecast timestep onto the values of the previous timestep instead of finding the maximum value within a given time period.
I've tried logging out and the problem still occurs.
