      On Saturday 27 June 15:30 the generic weather forecast missed a heavy tunderstorm with gusts close to 60 knots (11 beaufort) in the little belt Denmark around Bøjden.

      It lasted 30 minutes, fortunately we (9 m sailing boat IKE) were due to little wind before on the motor and everything went well (we only lost our national Dutch flag).

      The German weather forecast gave already in the morning a windforce 8 at 9:45 and at 15:45 windforce 10.

      Attached images from Windy - weather forcast and thunderstorm (I did not check the CAPE index picture unfortunately), German messages and the registration of our onboard computer. (I cannot upload images on my mobile, so I will upload them later).

      Feature request: As a sailor checking wind and wind gusts for my trips, I would like to get warnings if thunderstorm warnings in the area I'm checking exists - at least on the same day.

          @Reinier-Morra
          Then have you tried to set an alert for Storms (Thunderstorms) at your location ?

          You can also view the Weather warnings layer; it can indicate the risk of thunderstorms.
