Red triangle Icons in Current Conditions

@ivo What are the red triangle alerts in the current conditions area ? They seem to have popped up in the last couple of app updates however I didn't see any mention of what they are.
I'd assume they are weather alerts however they can't be selected to expand on the details of what the weather alert would be. Heavy rain, Very high temperatures, severe thunderstorms, hail.etc......
