Radar Suggestion: ‘Live’ button
-
When using the radar layer, once you scroll into the past/future, it becomes difficult to get back to the current “live” frame. This means you don’t really know if the radar layer is updating in real time when tracking storms or if you are frozen on a single historical or future frame. You can’t assume that t=0 is actually current because it could be a forecast to current time by extrapolating from the last radar image a few minutes ago. This means you can’t tell the different between an extrapolated forecast frame and an actual radar frame. Also, it doesn’t appear to update once you are no longer on the live frame. This also impacts tracking lightning strikes … which only appears to be present when on the live frame. Suggestion would be an add a “live” button near the scroll bar to basically reset the view to the current real-time updates. Alternatively a small “pause” with haptic feedback when scrolling across the past to future transition could do the same function.

@daroip Hello and thank you for the feedback. This or any similar button is not planned, but we can discuss some alternative for this.
