Can't disable AI forcast mode in settings
-
I tried activating the AI forcast mode and am not pleased with it (it's hiding some models in the wind view) and i can't disable it now...
-
@Nicolas-SALMIERI Hello, what models do you miss exactly? For now you can still change the default forecast detail model here:

-
@Suty There ICON and AROME-FR are not showing
previously there was no % estimation displayed and all models where visible in the wind mod

-
@Nicolas-SALMIERI I think this is a new change and it is not related to choosing the AI enhanced model or standard one. We decided to limit the view of models, since you have the more precise model for your area (ICON-EU and Arome HD).
But to be fair, I will note this down, so we can consider this in our next meeting.
-
@Suty I understand the point of that change, my use case may be a bit off compared to other users, as I put the predicted values against some real-world data from OpenWindMap, and sometimes the less resolved models are better that day.
That said, the best of both worlds would be for us to be able to hide or show whichever models we want. For example, for me I would like to hide GFS and ALADIN as they are consistently 7 to 10 RMS off in average wind for my PPG LZ.
Just one game breaker is that, as it is, I can select one model as the source and it does not show up at all, so it should at least not be available as a source if I can't show it.
-
@Nicolas-SALMIERI Maybe the new compare forecast change can help you in this. You can newly filter out models that are not interested for you there.
-
@Suty That option does not work for me. I change it back to ECMWF but when I hit refresh it's reverted back to the useless AI.
How do I remove this?
Cheers
-
Same for me, I find the AI model really inaccurate where I am. I want to turn it off, but now it has become the default and there's no way to change it.
The UI tells me the default is ECMWF - but every time I refresh the AI model is the default.Expectation:
- ECMWF is the default. If I refresh the page it's already selected
Current behaviour:
- Every time I refresh meteoblue AI is selected. This cannot be changed.

-
@Senutyenool Hello, did you turn this switch on as well?

-
@Suty hello, I'm adding to the discussion.
I liked the AI mode, but I noticed that the wave forecast period is rounded to the nearest second and decimals are eliminated in this mode (on all models).I need to disable AI mode, but there's no back button.
-
@matteo_98 Thank you for reporting this. I will discuss this with colleagues to get more info for you.
-
Hello. I am also not satisfied with the AI forecast. In the meteogram the scale for altitutes was amplified up to altitudes over FL300, which is in detriment of detail below 10,000 ft., which was the case of the Meteogram with the classic Forecast. The classic forecast meteogram comes in handy when you are a VFR pilot in need with a more precise infromation a lower altitudes.
I have not found a way of turning back to the classic format. It would be great to chosse back and forth between the two types of forecast.

Hello! Before the new AI model update, I was able to view QNH on the meteogram more efficiently. Now when trying to view QNH it seems to be verry inconsistently reported. I would like to see it as it was before, at least twice a day, not just whenever it is assumed a sufficient amount of change. I can find this data elsewhere, but it was exponentially faster to pull the data needed in the previous version. Thanks.

I am also having this problem on the website on Firefox for Android. I don't use the app and prefer the website. I cannot see 1 your forecast at all anymore and can't switch back from the ai forecast model. Please let me know how to switch back.
-
Sorry for the typo, I can't see the 1 hour forecast anymore.
-
@ivybag Hello, you can set the default visualization setup (1h/3h, length of forecast, detail tab and model) right here in the new update.
