@pomelo80 Hello, FL400 will be added probably with the next update. Thank you for reporting this.

@Suty Any way it can go higher? FL450 would be perfect!

The new display of turbulence data is simplified, but now contains much less fidelity that it used to. I found the resolution of the previous display much more helpful than what is now being presented. How about 2 separate views, one of the simplified "light, moderate, severe, extreme" display, and one showing the much more granular gradiated view like we are all used to.

Oh, and losing flight levels above FL300 permanently would just plain make me want to cancel my subscription altogether. I hope these are added back pronto.

thanks for adding the turbulence layer it’s an awesome feature, as mentioned above the altitude layer needs a fix.

Could we get incremental layers every 1,000 feet between FL300 and FL450 ? (FL310, FL320, FL340, etc.) in this range?

Is it possible to add more Global models (like the UK Met Office or ARPEGE models to Windy but on global scale rather than the current EU region zone).

                thanks

@Suty Can we get EDR's back too? Several Flight Controllers/Dispatchers use this site and with varying aircraft weight classes we work with on a daily basis, EDR's are frankly indispensable. Moderate turbulence to an A320 is more like light turbulence in a 777. Thanks, we appreciate it.

Immediately cancelled subscription because of this update (more like a downgrade).

The removal of EDR completely removes usefulness of the CAT page.

Apart from the differences in turbulence sensitivity due to light/medium and heavy aircraft as mentioned in the above coment, due to weather forecast never being totally accurate, EDR sets real expectation range, e.g. a edr of 5 indicates a really smooth flight, but an EDR of ~19 indicates a range of mostly light but sometimes moderate turbulence, a flight in constant 19 is likely quite choppy, yet both shows as nothing on the new CAT map. Very disappointed.

For me today it doesn’t go above FL180.

Also bring back EDR levels from before please, up to FL459.

@TGI737 Hello, this is planned to get these levels back in an upcoming update.

@Suty What about EDR and the graphical display with some fidelity? The new map is nearly useless.

@ecriswell What exactly do you mean by the new map? Or what exactly do you miss and it was in our previous version?

@Suty The clear air turbulence display used to show a gradient illustration of EDR, from zero to whatever the upper limit was. It illustrated this via various shades of blue, from fully transparent when the EDR was 0 to almost opaque when it was a high number and this information was much more useful than what is now being displayed.

Additionally, as many have pointed out, you could put the cursor on the map at any location and see the spot forecast for EDR at your selected altitude. This has been removed from the new display as well.

Its odd to me that you are unaware of the graphical change that was rolled out with your 7-21(?) update. It has substantially reduced the value of the Clear Air Turbulence display and its not clear what problem you all were trying to solve with the new "light, moderate, severe, extreme" gradation. Further, these new intensity scales are subjective and the actual experience of someone transiting these areas will be highly dependent on the size and type of the aircraft they are riding in.

Personally i don't like at all this actualization. I miss the possibility to see the real predicted value as before.
A real improvement should be to trace a airplane route and se step by step the turbs expected, as turbli... but this.. it is less than before

@ecriswell We will discuss reverting to EDR values on our meeting in a few minutes. I will keep you informed here about the result.

An update for you, EDR value will be reverted into the Clear air turbulence layer in one of upcoming updates.
