What got updated in the 7.21 version this time?
-
Hi, I wanted to ask, what new features were added in the version released on July 21? It seems like the perceived temperature (wind chill index) feature and AI modes that many users requested before haven’t been included in this version.
-
As a long-time senior user of Windy, there hasn't been much change in the software's forecast products or weather models; it seems like these features have been the same for years.
-
@admin1031 Hello, we changed the forecast detail a bit, where you can finally find Feels like temperature and option to change the default model for this forecast.
Also some changes were done in the compare forecast function, where you can now filter models.
Our marketing team is working on the new article, where all changes are described, but it will be out with the release of the same version in our mobile apps.
-
@Suty Has the app been released now? I saw discussions before saying it would be released on July 21, so why haven't I seen the feels-like temperature feature on both the Windy web and app? I haven't received any update notifications in the app store.
-
@admin1031 The web app was planned to be released yesterday, but it was done today. Mobile apps are always a bit delayed, since we are waiting for the feedback about the web version before releasing mobile platforms.

what happened to the airgraph? The bottom portion has been cut off, we no longer see the pressure, rain and lower 1000hpa band..

vs what we had yesterday

-
@JasonV13 Yes, this part stays still in the Meteogram tab. Airgram was a bit limited becaused of the space of the whole detail. However, if there are more users with this request, we can discuss this with colleagues.
-
@Suty Does the newly released version include the European ECMWF-AI and the US GFS-AI models? After all, these two models have been out for a while and are more useful for weather analysis, and they can also be compared and analyzed alongside other models.
-
Also, many users have previously suggested adding the European ec-ai and US gfs-ai models. Even if there's no concrete plan now, is it possible that these models could be added in the next year or two?
-
@admin1031 No, we tested these models in the past and we still consider standard versions as more reliable ones.
On the other hand, we offer Meteoblue MLM, which is an artificial intelligence-driven post-processing framework that combines outputs from 30 to 40 different numerical weather prediction (NWP) models with real-time observation data. Instead of relying on a single weather model, mLM dynamically analyzes the recent performance of all models (typically over the previous 60 days) and selects or weighs the most accurate combination for any specific location.

@Suty
oh man, we need to get that back there lol.. it was so helpful.thanks
-
@Suty Is this Meteoblue MLM feature implemented in the new version?
-
電腦網頁版的藍色降雨量都沒數字,而且放在粉紅色對流雨的下面,使用上很麻煩。
-

-
紅色方框中的數字是代表什麼?
雨量與對流雨的數字為什麼不見了? -
Hi @Suty, as @jasonv13 mentioned, it's not just that the pressure/clouds/rain/etc. have been removed, it's the fact that the airgram is cut off at the bottom because the red options menu bar does not disappear. This is a screenshot from a 27" display, so there's enough space but the bottom of the airgram is cut off by the red bar.

-
@meiersa78 Oh okay, and thank you for explanation. We will discuss this with colleagues with the rest of the feedback.
-
@Suty Reply to the post I left above
-
@admin1031 Yes, this Meteoblue MLM is in this latest version of Windy.
-
@Suty Where is the 5880 line at the 500 hPa level? It seems like I can't find the contour line location, and the visualization of contour lines at each level doesn't seem very clear.
