@admin1031 Hi, yes, we try to let our Chinese users to access Windy.com even though there are some restrictions on Chinese government's side. That means that access from China is unfortunately much slower than we'd like it to be. VPNs should make it faster, as long as their exit nodes are (obviously) outside of the PRC.

@Suty I basically don't use VPN software anymore. The Windy website and app can open normally, but there are occasional fluctuations. Just refreshing the program or webpage usually solves it, so it mostly works fine.

@Suty I used to use VPN software mainly to access foreign weather numerical model websites. Loading images or opening web pages would be relatively slow, so I had to choose nodes with low foreign latency to optimize access speed. But compared to Windy, I think Windy’s access speed is still pretty good—the website and app open in just a few seconds.

This % shows the predictability calculated by Meteoblue based on their multi-model. It is considered valid for every model as stated in this related thread and particularly in the article from Meteoblue quoted in this thread. -
