Please bring back the "Always use 1h forecast" option
-
In the new version of Windy, the option to always display the 1-hour forecast appears to have been removed.
Now, every time I open the forecast, it defaults to the 4-hour interval, and I have to manually switch it back to 1h. This becomes frustrating when you use Windy frequently, especially for short-term weather monitoring.
The previous setting that allowed users to always use the 1-hour forecast was very convenient.
This small feature made the app much more efficient for those of us who rely on hourly forecasts.
Thank you for considering it!

@ucelme
I couldn't find it at first either.

They have options to "setup" this forecast panel now.I just read in a different post that they will release an article explaining all of the changes and additions in this update. But they are waiting until the mobile release of the update.

@ucelme
I didn't realize the compare forecast menu was different too!
Cool how you can hide models and pin them and stuff now!The setting I refer too is before you go into "compare forecasts". But I don't see a way to set up the 1h/3h switch to save in the compare forecasts screen either, good catch.
@suty Can't seem to save the 1h switch setting in the compare forecast screen....
please advise. -
@Wheats Hello, this 1h switch should be available at the bottom of the compare forecast menu. Or have you found the switch but it is not saved for the next visit?
-
@Suty
Hey, found the switch, it's not saving it's state. -
@Wheats Thank you for confirmation, this bug is already forwarded to colleagues and it should be fixed in our next version planned in upcoming weeks.
-
@Suty Can you fix it faster? It very uncovenient always to push 1h switch again and again after refreshing the page.
-
@ucelme The release of this fix is planned for today. So it should be out really soon.
-
@Suty Will this also fix the selected weather model? When I refresh the page, the selected whether model just reverts back to a default, even if I use the tiny little gear icon to change the settings at the bottom right. If I select something other than "meteoblue", it just reverts back to meteoblue.
-
@mrgalaxy Do you mean this setup at the bottom that is not respected?

-
@Suty Still not fixed.
-
@ucelme We will check the situation with colleagues and hopefully we will fix this whole issue asap.
-
The 1h-setting seems to be already available. At least it works for me in the mobile app.

-
-
@meiersa78 Hello, we will release the next update of our app probably this week and this should be fixed there.
-
@Suty Please, release the fix also for browser desktop version.
-
@ucelme It should be already out, can you check the behavior?
-
@Suty It doesn't work. It always reset to 3 hour, 1h selection doesn't save its state.
