For wind direction they only have arrows, they don't show the direction clearly! Give some abbreviations for the directions.

In meteorology the direction of wind arrows on all weather maps is the direction of an arrow "flying" with the wind.
(It is not the direction shown by a wind vane).
Same in Windy for example with the arrows displayed in the detailed forecast tables:
In this example the arrows mean that the wind is blowing from the East to the West.
So it is an eastern wind abbreviated by the letter E.All wind arrows in Windy are based on this rule, like in the Wind detailed forecast:
