"Sync forecast time with map" - What does it do?

Hi,
When going into detailed forecast for a point, then in "Settings for location fcst." you have the option of "Sync forecast time with map".
What does it do? I can't see the difference but am probably not looking for the right thing.

If the map is displayed, for example, for next Thursday at 7:00 , this setting causes this rectangle to appear in the detailed forecast table.

Ok, I believe this was default before this latest update? I don't think I have seen this setting before and I am quite certain I have had the behaviour you explain before.
Can you confirm?
