For anyone who is traveling to Spain, Mallorca, or Iceland to witness the next total solar eclipse on August 12th, I discovered a helpful website for what clouds at certain distance in correlation to where the sun at what degree in the horizon can block the view of the eclipse. Especially for Spain and Mallorca where the eclipse will happen around 20:30 (8:30 pm) CEST with the sun just a few degrees above the horizon and will set right after totality.

I am not an expert on the math and geometry of the height of clouds in correlation to the sun being low on the horizon in the evening. Could someone explain this better?
