New in 51.0.1 - questions on Feels Like and AI
-
I'm using Windy (at this moment) on macOS. It's not my primary platform (which is iOS) so maybe I'm missing something, but two questions/comments/observations...
-
I was prompted with a photo of the butler asking me how I wanted to be "served". Because it's first thing in the morning, I misread the prompt and inadvertently turned on the AI "model" as the default - how can I turn this off again?
-
I was looking (in the HRDPS model, but it seems universal now) at forecast temps, and thought something looked "off". It turns out that instead of dewpoint, I'm now seeing "Feels Like". I did a quick search before asking about this, and all I see are dozens of posts here asking for "Feels Like" and while it's a great idea to have it as an option - how do I get back to dewpoint visible in the forecast bar?
I dunno, maybe I just don't like change and everything. Having new functionality is great, but I generally use Windy to see what the models are telling NWS and the local meteorologists and I do know where to find their experienced forecasts. I anticipate using both dewpoint and feels-like, but I'd rather see the raw model output, at least when I launch the app.
And, as always, apologies if I missed participating in a debate about any of this before these changes were implemented, and thanks for all the work (and I'm also happy to keep supporting the team!.

I think you can switch the Meteoblue AI model with any other model in Basic table

I don’t remember that Dew point was displayed in this table where now you find the Feels like temperature.
Dew point was and is still shown in Meteogram. -
@idefix37 Thanks so much for your response!
I think that my problem is that I use the desktop version very infrequently - I'm on a Mac, but usually am looking at an iPad, or less often, iPhone.
The layout is different on the Mac version, and that was part of my problem: I didn't realize that I was in "Basic" view, since "Basic" on my Mac looks much more like the Meteogram. So - yes, the row below "Temperature" is "Feels like" in the Basic view. Sorry to waste your time there, and of course nothing has changed on the other platforms that I need worry about.
The other question was about the default model - I seem to have inadvertently asked Windy to show the AI "model". I can't find the setting to change the default, but I do know how to change the display, so while I would be good to be able to reset that default, I can live with it.
Again, thanks for the assist.

@kmpeterson
For your second question, it should be possible to change the default setting by clicking here
But the change is not permanent and this need to be fixed.

@Suty
OK I make a test with ALADIN too, on iOS app. -
@suty
Test done.
I logged out and logged back in.
The Meteoblue model is once again displayed in the Basic table, instead of Aladin, which I had set as the default. -
Same bug as described in this thread
