I have been using Windy since 4 years and hoped that the an accuracy in the wave height would improve. However nothing regarding wave swell has improved.
For example yesterday we left from Patmos to Mykonos
midnight because the map showed 60 cm height. However it was as 2-3 meters high. Same thing happened today.

@TUNCER-GOREN Hello, unfortunately, we could not affect this to be honest, since we get this data from external models and these results are theirs.

Do you have a screenshot of yesterday wave heights ?
Today between Mikonos and Patmos the wave heights are expected to reach a maximum height of 1.5m.
I hope you are looking at Waves layer, not Swell layer ?

@idefix37 sure I am looking the waves.
All these years I have doubled the forecast for the wave heights and was pretty accurate. Because whenever it is 1 meter we assume it will be 2 meters. However this year the predictions are very understated. Almost 3 times or more.

So have you cross-checked the wave forecasts with all wave models available in you area ? ECMWF, GFS WAVE and ICON-EU.
In you area the waves are mainly caused by the local wind, less by the swell. Is the wind prediction correct? It is known that medium resolution models in Aegean Sea cannot accurately predict the wind speeds in straits or near with high relief islands where the wind is accelerated.

It is important also to note that the Wave forecast is their significant height, which is not the max height.
