Map no longer updates when using forecasts

When viewing forecast for a location the map layer stays at the current date and time and doesn’t change to reflect the chosen date and time. iOS latest app version. A truly awful change along with the inability to turn off the AI model.

@gearoid Hello, at the bottom of the detail, you can find Settings for location forecast and there is a switch called Sync forecast time with map. This function affects this, so turn it on and it should work how you are used to.

@Christopher-Gilmore Seriously? So now that's a premium feature? Honestly, I find that ridiculous since it was such a great feature in terms of user experience. It's really inconvenient having to manually adjust the forecast time outside of the selected location

Still an issue. Can anyone confirm this is a premium feature now? Does anyone with a paid version have this issue?

@Hermano-1 this bug has been reintroduced in the last update. It worked yesterday on Android. I'm a premium user.
I can now no longer click forward on the timeline on the button while using satellite or weather radar layer. Interestingly it still works on cloud layer.

There is no reason to see the Radar or the Satellite map changing when you click on the forecast timeline.
Radar and Satellites layers are not driven by the model forecast you choose for the detail forecast table.

@idefix37 can you explain what you mean? In simple terms, I open Windy, click forecast this spot, then click on the 3 hourly forecast to change the default viewable map. It absolutely used to change to update that particular point in time. I have no idea what your response means.

I mean that with the Radar or the Satellite maps it is not possible to update them by clicking on the time steps of the detailed forecast table. This is only possible is you choose other maps, like wind, temperature, clouds, or any else.
But it is necessary to synchronise the map and the detailed forecast in the forecast settings.

Hi I’m a premium user about to sail across the Pacific from Tahiti to New Zealand.
I can see the settings icon at foot of “display as basic page but it’s unresponsive to touch.

Update. I switched from AI to ECMWF and the settings options showed up
Now “close” is not working so I am stuck in that page

@fl1ght Okay, that is good, but still if you are not able to close the setting, it is a problem. Can you test it once again and let me know? Also more info about your device and version of Windy installed would be perfect.

For me on iOS the bug I reported has been fixed in 51.010212 With basic (non premium) the map now updates to reflect the forecast date and time.

On mobile the "Sync forecast time with map" shown and I can click on the time slot and the map got updated.
When accessing thought browser on PC (mac in my case). The "Sync forecast time with map" option is missing.
When accessing thought browser on PC and changing the browser to mobile view (in chrome developers tools) the "Sync forecast time with map" appears again, but after when resuming back to normal view the "Sync forecast time with map" disappears.
