Do hurricane trackers stop updating once a tropical storm makes landfall?

I noticed that the last update for Tropical Storm Dolphin was a day ago (runtime 20260809 12 UTC)[1], whereas the ECMWF is still updating (runtime 20260810 00 UTC)[2].

@tomacat Hello, this last update time info is not related to selected model, so not ECMWF. I will discuss it with colleagues to get more info for you.

@tomacat There is an issue that this time detail is not updated with changing the model. I already forwarded this for a fix.

@Suty I think the issue is that the tropical cyclone's position stopped updating after landfall, whereas the model forecasts continued to update.

The hurricane tracker has indeed stopped updating. However, typhoon locations and ECMWF forecasts are still being updated:

@tomacat As I said, we don't update this information properly now, but it is only an issue related to the label visualization.

Tropical Storm Saudel is an interesting case: Windy.com stopped updating its data after the storm made landfall (even though the official ECMWF website continued to provide updates). Now that Saudel has regained activity over open water, Windy.com has resumed updates; this leads me to suspect that Windy.com has an issue with its data source for tropical storm positioning.
