Just purchased Windy and am totally lost how to use

I could use some help here. Windy app was recommended as a way to be warned about thunderstorms when I go hiking. And I read posts and comments about seeing storms on a certain type of map layer. But I cannot see how to activate or access the mentioned layer type. The in app tutorial doesn't help much. Can someone point me to a good description of how to use the Windy app? In particular to visualise thunderstorms. Thanks!

You are talking about Windy app. Do you mean the app with a blue logo or with a red one?
