New turbulence layer display
-
I like the idea of the new turbulence layer display providing a composite display of the turbulence over a range of altitudes. What I find infuriating is there is no way for me to preset the default lower and upper altitudes. What is even worse is every time you switch to another layer and then return your last range is reset to the startup defaults. I absolutely hate this
I dislike that the model no longer lets you see a numeric value for turbulence. With a light plane the steps in the turbulence levels are way to course
The actual turbulence forecast values have changed so much from the old model that I question there accuracy

@AliciaViskoe Hello and thank you for your feedback. Are there any specific steps we should handle in the new version of this layer to offer the most for you?

In settings add the ability to set the default lower and upper altitudes. For me that would be 5000 to 10000 feet
When one changes the range while in the turbulence layer keep the values until the app is shutdown or the settings range is changed. You should be able to browse to another layer and return without having to reenter the altitudes range of interest
Go back to more of a gradient display or double the number of levels of colors in the display. For a light plane the transition between light and moderate turbulence is a really important

@AliciaViskoe Hello, we will revert the altitude scope until FL450 in our next update.

Just go back to the entire format before the change. Undo everything youve done since the major update. Cant you see that the entire update is not being well received?
