How do you add a photo to threads

I’m using an iPhone. When I paste a photo it appears as string text url. Is that the correct presentation , or should the image appear?

I think it depends on how the photo is being pasted. If it only shows as a URL string, the image may not be embedded correctly. On iPhone, the image should normally appear as a preview if the platform supports direct image pasting.
