How to turn off tides?

I know I am a neanderthal, but I got the tides onto my map and now can't make them go away. I have turned off the button putting Tide Forecast on my homepage, but it makes no difference. Nor does the Waves and Tides button at the bottom of the local forecast screen.
Please anybody help? -
If I understand your issue and if you have set Tide forecast in the list of POI, you just need to click on Empty map to delete them.
