I m in a part of coastal Nova Scotia under a big red cloud with lots of Zs for rain, yes? My reality which has been constant for hours is hot, humid and dry as a bone. No rain or storm at all. barely any wind. I ve noticed far out of touch reports for some time now. Windy used to be so accurate. What happened? Environment Canada also forecasts a storm but it s often wrong out here so I dont expect more from it.
I count on Windy but fear I no longer can. Do you have an explnation?

This type of map displays forecasts for rain and in this case there are obviously thunderstorms.
However, weather models—particularly medium-resolution ones—cannot accurately predict exactly where these storms will occur. The best approach is to consult the radar layer, which shows real-time precipitation, and extrapolate its movement over the coming hour.
It is also useful to check the various models available for your region; there are 6 in your area. -
