Selected weather model not kept and default applied again when selecting cities

I really appreciate the new default weather model and view setting, it has been a great enhancement. I guess I found a bug related to this feature.
When you select a point or city on the map to see the forecast for that location, as expected the default model and view is applied. Now you select a different model and/or view and you select another location on the map THAT IS NOT A CITY (so basically anywhere on the map) the previously selected model and/or view is KEPT. In contrast, when you select a city on the map, the default model and view is reapplied.
So my expectation would be that the selected model and view is kept at least for the time you're in that view no matter what points and location you select.
