an option to hide the lightning on radar & satellite

while trying to analyse a storm i chased a few hours ago, it looks like this, it is not extremely obstructive, just kinda annoying to look at sometimes! could there be a button added to hide/unhide the lightning icons?
it was a pretty awesome storm though, east of redditch
