Heavy rain is forecast to continue until 1600hrs in Sherborne Dorset, with an accumulation of over 20mm.
There has been no rain. There is clearly an error

Windy doesn't control what the forecast is telling us, they just visualize the guidance model data for users to investigate. There are many different models to choose from around the world. Some are high resolution, some are global, some are multi-model. It should automatically show you what models are available for your area.

Have you investigated the other models? Maybe that one is just a bit out to lunch lately?

Looks like you have many to look at in your area.
Have a look at the "Compare forecasts" too - looks like the Meteoblue forecast is the only one showing real rain this morning...though I wouldn't call it "heavy" myself.

            Ok thanks
The problem was with mblue AI which showed 4.2 mm of rain for several consecutive time slots
I have changed sources and won’t be using that one again
            Thanks for your help
