I presume that for Western Disturbance you mean
and that you talk about Rossby waves
(https://oceanservice.noaa.gov/facts/rossby-wave.html)
and jetstreams affecting Indian monsoon (at 3:48) ?
You cannot visualize them showing the surface wind as you stated. You would need preferably a browser version of Windy and display the globe also in 3D. Start with, say 500hPa geopotential height. See below screenshots for an example. Then you use 250hPa geopotential height and you could zoom in around your area, showing the jet streams and geopotential height isolines. A meteorologist, which I am not, could perhaps be able to identify the Rossby waves oscillation from those views.
You may want to take a look also at this view : https://www.tropicaltidbits.com/analysis/models/?region=asia&model=ecmwf&pkg=z500a
Good luck in your challeging meteoroligal studies!

I do not have the expertise of a professional meteorologist to give you a lesson on meteorology here.
