MeteoBlue AI wildly off for the UK - can't change default
-
My Windy has been defaulting to Meteoblue AI for a fortnight despite many attempts to change settings to something else.
The reason I want to change is because MeteoBlue AI is not just consistently wrong it's ridiculously wrong.
It frequently predicts very long periods of heavy rain - at precisely the same rate for over twelve hours ahead. This is when there's never a single drop and all the other forecasts make a correct prediction.
It's a complete outlier - today for example it's predicting prolonged rain all day and there has been none - as the other forecasts accurately predict.

Images of wringd MeteoBlue AI and correct ECMWF forecast for today - no rain fell.

Hi @Dean_Morrison, please try https://community.windy.com/post/233246 to change the default.
BTW, where I am, ECMWF said today fog for all day, for every single hour and Metoblue said that the sun would shine at 2 p.m. And it happened! Miracle? Rather tens of thousands of precalculated locations and millions of users, each of which has the luxury of being able to select from many different models to suit their needs. Good luck.

Hi, I hope.you don't mind me commenting here, but I too have noticed this problem. Because I'm a standard user I cannot change the default from.the mblue ai. It's frustrating as a you cannot quick glance at the forecast as the symbols are obviously wrong. This all seemed to happen after clicking "yes" to allowing the ai forecast a few months ago. I wish I could turn it off.
As I stands now I don't bother using it due to this issue. Shame as other than that it was a good Wx app.
I hope. it can be fixed soon.
