Why does Windy start Bluetooth headset streaming?

When I launch Windy, it sets my Android phone into streaming mode via my Bluetooth headset. This is really problematic because the settings on my headset makes it difficult to hear my surroundings.

Why does it do this when there is no audio content? How do I turn it off?

@Canne thank you! I had to look up where to find this setting but now I've turned it off and so far it seems to leave my headset alone. Much appreciated!!
