METEOBLUE vs. MBLUE AI
-
I use the official Windy.com Weather Widget for Garmin on my Garmin fēnix 9 Pro inReach. In the widget settings (currently app version 1.013), I can select the Global Forecast Model from ECMWF, METEOBLUE, ICON and GFS.
I would like to clarify what exactly the METEOBLUE option represents. In the current Windy mobile app, MBLUE AI is available as a point forecast and is described as an AI/multimodel forecast. Is the METEOBLUE forecast used by the Garmin Weather Widget the same MBLUE AI / meteoblue Learning MultiModel (mLM) forecast?
Or does the Garmin widget use a different/classic meteoblue model or forecast product? In other words, if I select METEOBLUE on my Garmin watch and MBLUE AI in the Windy mobile app for exactly the same coordinates and time, should the underlying forecast data be expected to be the same?
Thanks and best regards,

Meteoblue and Meteoblue AI are actually the same model. Machine learning was already integrated into this model a few years ago. See more information in this post. -

METEOBLUE
If MBLUE AI (in the app) is the same as METEOBLUE (in the Garmin widget), it would be nice to have this standardized so that the model is also named MBLUE AI in the widget.
