Is there any way to build a route in the distance and planning tool from an external source and have it load automatically into Windy? We occasionally deal with a forecast that moves, whether it be a vessel or a tropical cyclone, and often have a list of lat/lon to work from. It would be nice if we could pre-load coordinates from a list and have it automatically build in Windy without having to construct it by hand every time.

Has there been any thought to add this to the API?

Like ingest a delimitted text file containing points, then have the windy route/distance tool automatically place the points based on the data in the file.
