<![CDATA[New mobile version is here, how do you like it?]]>Update: After a lot of complaints, Weather Picker on single click is BACK.

  • We are launching a new version of mobile/tablet version of Windy - which attempts to solve a lot of complaints we've received so far. The mobile version of Windy was considered complicated and difficult to navigate. Some people even claimed it unusable on a small display. A minimalistic and simplistic version should solve this, including the fact that now there is more space for the weather map.

  • 100% of functionality of the previous version is included, but not only that: Now you can stop animated particles on your mobile (as requested).

  • To see the popular "weather picker", just long tap on a map.

  • You can change the altitude in the menu on the right side.

Not as user friendly as before and would like to see the old version of that feature return. Yes, I know where it is. It was better where it was. Beyond that, I still enjoy the app. I can get used to the other changes.

Why hide it in a sub menu (choose wind then open menu to find altitude slider), meaning it is harder to find and use?? Paraglider / Paramotor pilots use this feature ALL the time, having the slider available at the side of the screen was MUCH more convenient, especially when actually flying. Thanks.

I have to flip to use this full Windy app from Weather v2.2 app which integrates Windy to a minor degree to Weather (thats how I discovered WINDY App). But There, its not fully labeled witj descriptions for use. Complicates & impairs a quick read & understanding of weather status. 😢

This was my favorite weather app. The slider on the right to charge categories was awesome as well as the altitude slider on the left. The old version was very intuitive. This feels clunky and unintuitive. I wouldn't have upgraded the app if I had know how extensive the changes to the UX would be. Might try to roll it back from a backup.
