      I wonder if the webcam symbols represent active webcams? Tapping on the symbols does not seem to do anything. I am an iPad user. Thanks in advance for your help.

        The Windy team does not own the webcams on Windy.com. They are simply providing a free worldwide broadcast of cams which others own. That being said, whether a cam is or is not functioning at any given time is the responsibility of the respective owner not Windy.
