It is so delightful to be able to post a question here in the community and have the programmers answer you themselves. It's fun to post a suggestion, get a personal response from the owners and then see it become part of windy. Do you honestly think that a corporate owner would provide Windy for free? Do you think they would give you complete access to their data?

The Weather Underground used to be a much better site with users interacting with each other until they got bought by weather.com. Now all they basically are is a revenue stream for the corporate owner.

Please do not sell out to some faceless corporation.
