@ricardo-lentjes Hello, you can find Tide forecast if you open the side menu and scroll down.
-
@Korina I don't see the option😊😊, could you send a screenshot?
-
-
@korina Have found it Thank you😊
I can't wait for the new update for Android,

May i know for generating tidal current what model you using
-
@suthagar1 Hello, we are using data provided by Copernicus.

Like the tide app

HI
new user here,
Skerry Bay, British Columbia tide map location is way off, there are no tide station on a mountain at 900m anywhere on Vancouver island. the bay is located at 49.4997° N, 124.2365° W on the east side of Lasqueti island.
another quick look, Nugent Sound British Columbia is on a mountain too, so its a bit off.
-
@cercomm Hello, could you post a link to the station? Tide forecast still in beta, therefore some stations might be missing.
-
@ivo really useful idea! But unless I'm reading it wrong, can't see the dates that the times are associated with

Dates are expressed as day.month (d.m) -
Great future for the seas, Tidal currents are not accurate for the Waddenzee, it would be great when tidal currents in this area can be included.
-
In this type of very indented seaside, it is obvious that Tidal currents map in Windy cannot reflect reality. The chart that you show from the tidal stream atlas for dutch coast is made by the Dutch Royal Navy. Nothing to do with the global method by satellite used by Windy.

@kdrelich Happy to hear it. :)
-
Isn't that a bug?
-
@nowakka940 What are you referring to please?
-
It could be really useful to visualize the direction and strenght of predicted currents at the forecast stations. https://deepzoom.com/ for example uses differently sized arrows to indicate current strength. The direction of currents are usually available as static property of tide forecast stations.
-
@gwicke Hello, the direction of tide is displayed at each station on the map. But thank you for suggestion.
-
@korina, are you saying this functionality is already available? Maybe I have not found the right setting, but I am not seeing directional information in the map view, nor in the mouse-over hovers:
This is for https://www.windy.com/-Tidal-currents-currentsTide?currentsTide,48.571,-122.790,11,i:pressure,m:e0iacJV.The "tidal currents" and "currents" particle animation layers both look fairly useless / highly inaccurate in an area like the San Juan Islands. Station based tide forecasts are much more accurate, but do not indicate current direction currently, beyond "flooding", "slack", and "ebbing". Between islands, the direction of "flooding" or "ebbing" is often not very obvious.
