<![CDATA[Help us to test Windy version 13.00]]>cover photo

What brings Windy v13.00?

New desktop user interface, that is less for experts and professionals and more for common users. All user controls should be more contrast and bigger. A lot of stuff inside the codes by introducing central data store (kind like faster and more simple Redux store), which are a little bit smaller, work a little bit faster and should be significantly more stable.

Isolines are now much more faster (rendering was reduced from 1.5 seconds to 57ms) and require much less CPU and memory.

If you spot a BUG please, please, please, send a screenshot and help us repair it.

I cannot confirm that. This is the actually picture of Michigan.. Reported temperatures are realistic if I ask Google for weather in Detroit. ECMWF forecast is a little bit to low.. But as it says.. It's a forecast

And NAM Model is on point with forecast

The specification for the new snow does not change anymore. This means that it does not matter which day I go into the preview, unchanged.

This Eastern Caribbean sailor likes the combined wind/gust/wave/swell info. Windy continues to be a "go to" site.

Please continue to enhance presentation / graphic presentation of wind/gust/wave/swell I nfo., it's availability at high zooms, and comparison of models.

Finding bugs is not my thing, though you may want to do something with the zoom smooth scroll, because under OSX with the magic mouse's touch scroll you are either looking from the moon, or under that small rock just at the spot.

If you want, i can help with revising the design a bit to be more consistent and better looking. Just drop me a line.

The new version does not display numerical values for isolinie pressure in Microsoft Edge.

I don't understand why you guys have to ruin something that worked well with 'improvements' no one was asking for. Now it's incredibly laggy, takes up way too much memory in Google Chrome, is almost impossible to zoom in and out or move the map area. Everything about this new version is pure garbage.
