Windy doesn't work for couple weeks mobile and web
-
Last time i've seen it working couple weeks ago.
Map is OK, but there is no forecasts.
-
This is really strange
-
Try different browser. Or try private browsing window
-
Edge...
Aye, I've found the cause
Tor is now my favourite browser
I think, windy just joined to the f.cking sanctions against people in Crimea. Genocide, guys.
-
We do not block Crimea but !!!!YOUR INTERNET OPERATOR!!!!! blocks some Windy data.
Sorry
-
It seems it's not the operator, because I tried to use two home providers and two mobile, everywhere the same result...
But if I try to open "some blocked data" in browser it shows me following:
What means that GOOGLE restricted my access to windy oO
It looks a bit strange... Are google and windy affiliated? :)
Also here is one of the error messages from map page:
"Failed to load https://node.windy.com/users/alertCheck/5980cbf104459a2f1cac3d97: No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource. Origin 'https://www.windy.com' is therefore not allowed access. The response had HTTP status code 403."and

We use Google as a infrascructure provider. I found, that U.S. made a sanctions against Crimea. It's very sad (https://techcrunch.com/2015/01/23/google-joins-apple-others-cutting-off-crimea-blocks-adwords-adsense-google-play/)
I can only recommend you use some proxy servers (ie https://wonderproxy.com/ ).

Next link contains information about google blocks: https://blog.kedare.net/blog/my-pov-on-google-cloud.html
There is message from google support ticket:
Google restricts access to some of its business services in certain countries or regions, such as Crimea, Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, and Syria.
After reviewing your case as well as our documentation, I can confirm that we block access to the Google Cloud Platform services for certain countries which includes Iran.
The decision to block or not block traffic for services for a particular country is a decision made by the US Government and interpreted by our legal team, and then implemented in our infrastructure.
Our technical troubleshooting skills do not include legal analysis and as you can visit the following URL for more information on the topic. US Department of Treasury, Iran Sanctions:

We decided to help you if we can. I did some routing tricks which would bypass these blocations. Please @kirmak try it again.

I also had a similar problem, I had to wait corny, since everything was resolved very quickly.
