As the deep low pressure system NW from Japan
      "soak up" the Arctic air
the temperature in places of Siberia
      fell to -50 C

Amazingly frigid temps! I was outside once when it was -26F which is about -32.2C. My nose hairs and eye lashes froze in less than a minute. I was with a group of high school students at a retreat house. The heating plant in the building could only warm the inside up to about 60F (15.5C) but there was a giant fireplace in the main common room and we all bunked out under lots of blankets that night in front of a blazing fire watching TV. I was lucky my car started that morning but then again I got up every 3 hours overnight and started the car until the engine was putting out warm air. I cannot imagine -49C or -56.2F.

I just translated your message to English and -32 is NOT a warm day for walking. Ha ha!

@JimInSanDiego wow ! That really is something, I can't even image that. The lowest temperature I've experienced was around -22°C. I've read somewhere that in such extremely low temperatures (-40°C and less) you have to leave the car's engine going, or else there is no way to start it again after it cools down. Or you can park it in a heated parking house.

@friengels Hello from Czechia !! Thanks for the nice photos !! Yakutia is exactly something that comes to mind when talking about super low temperatures. Especially the Yakutsk city, one of the coldest on earth. I've read about it some time ago, about a life there, seen photos of streets and local people, etc. Man, I would like to visit one day, for me it looks like a very interesting experience. Not to mention seeing Siberian nature or travelling with Trans-Siberian Railway, but preferably in summer :D
