Heat Index and Wind Chill
-
Agree, lots of people have asked for these in Windy, simply because they tell you much more that's significant to humans than the T value or a humidity overlay does.
-
As I see I am not the only one who need this feature _) it is quite useful and I hope we will get this soon :)
-
I add my voice to this request. It would be very simple to implement and very useful!
- Heat index can be simply implemented using the formula on this page.
- Humidex (Canadian version of heat index) is even easier to implement.
- Windchill is also very straightforward.
Many thanks for the great app!

@dbgit Yes! Any reply from dev team? :)

Reply from dev team? Help us and extend Windy functionality! https://github.com/windycom/windy-plugins

@marekd OK, I will be waiting for plugin ;)
-
Please count my vote for that too.

@yopo +1 on this feature. I think it is an absolute must! 🙂
-
WindChill is a must have. please make this happen in next update, if you cannot then you need a new dev team..
-
Seconding. I just ran into Windy and love it, but a lack of "feels like" equivalents is a major inhibition to me.
-
Echoing this request! Love this app but I don’t use it solely because there is no real feel temperature map…so I have to use another competitors site for that.
Of all the people I’ve showed this app to, the lack of these maps is the biggest reason they don’t use the app!

It should be apparent that windchill is an important, sought after feature for your users. Where does it fall on the priority list? This thread is composed of requests spanning the last 5 years, where is the team with respect to progress on this feature?
-
Cannot believe that that feature is missing?
Literally paid for a premium without realising that it’s missing.
Both are needed not only as layers, but also on the actual forecast AND the phone widgets. For regular living users (like not pilots and etc.) these are way more important than the reported temperature!

I would like to add my voice to the choir here.
You really need to add in "Feels Like" and "UV" values in this bottom overlay section. These are the two most valuable pieces of information. Temperature on its own is useless especially when there is a 10-20C difference between what the temperature is and what it feels like based on the heat index or wind chill.
The way in which you prepare to go outside is dependent on both of these values and yet after 5+ years they are nowhere to be found on your website even through every other weather app has them.
I pity the person that bought a premium subscription and then discovered that this information was missing even from the premium option.
I love the website, but unless those two values are added to the bottom overlay - its not worth paying for something that doesn't give me two of the key pieces of information I need.
Please give us some hint as to when these values will be added or whether you just intend to continue to ignore one of the most highly asked for features for another 5-10 years.
