First of all congratulatios for your spectacular job

Guys, do you ever consider to add the following parameters to your awesome work?

      -Heat index based on:
      Relative humidity-air temperature
      Dew Point Temperature-air temperature

      -Wind Chill
      Wind speed-air temperature

      thanks and thanks

Hi @yopo , thanks for your message, we're really happy that you like Windy!

As to your suggestions - we do have "Humidity" and "Dew point" as individual layers but not a combination of these two + air temperature as a "Heat index" layer, the same with "Windchill" (wind speed + air temperature). It's not our priority at this moment, but we will certainly think about it! All the best ~ Marie

Just to make sure that I am getting it right:

Heat index = a quantity expressing the discomfort felt as a result of the combined effects of the temperature and humidity of the air.

Windchill = a quantity expressing the effective lowering of the air temperature caused by the wind, especially as affecting the rate of heat loss from an object or human body or as perceived by an exposed person.

        Best wishes
        ~ Marie

@Marienka Hi guys, just wondering where the Windchill request is on your to-do list? Being winter now in Canada, it certainly would be a welcomed addition to your phenomenal app!
          All the best,
          Peter

Agreed, especially when MN is going to get slammed this week with record-breaking wind chills. I can get it from pivotal weather directly, but it would be nice to get it all in one spot.

@Marienka please, please, please add wind chill and heat index. You will see this in other weather apps as the "feels like" temperature. I'm a long distance runner and this is really helpful to know when dressing for a long run!

You app is amazing, I greatly appreciate all that you all do and was really happy to donate to help keep it going!

              Thank you!
              Ben

@Marienka We don´t know what your priorities are, but these two (Windchill and Heat Index) should be of sure!. There are already other wheather pages that are offering them. Congratulations on your excelent Web page!.

Agree, lots of people have asked for these in Windy, simply because they tell you much more that's significant to humans than the T value or a humidity overlay does.

I add my voice to this request. It would be very simple to implement and very useful!

                      • Heat index can be simply implemented using the formula on this page.
                      • Humidex (Canadian version of heat index) is even easier to implement.
                      • Windchill is also very straightforward.

Many thanks for the great app!
