Download weather forecast

Is it possible to download and save a weather forecast that can be used offline.
Sometimes when sailing and I am out of range/access to online internet. -
Yes, this would be a great feature. I have the same request. Currently I simply grab and save screens for the period of interest but it's not very efficient.

Yes, you can make screenshots and save for offline viewing

@tomber42 . Hello:)!
I had this as an option if no other solutions were possible.
But many screenshots has to be taken if you want a weather forecast 6-7 days ahead.
Like 24 pr day multiplied by the number off days.
Igrib's (iOS) solution had been perfect(Windows). -:) -
@jolan
Hi, there are free apps which allow to keep wind fields forecasts when you are out of internet connection:
zygrib.org for PC or Mac,
squid-sailing.com for PC or Mac,
Squid Mobile for iOS or Android,
But they offer mainly GFS forecast (ECMWF is available only on subscription with Squid)
Windy is much more easy to use and fast !!
Agree that a solution similar to iGrib should be nice on Windy. -
Yep, would be great to have that.

Another vote for a ‘download’ feature in the app. Given a lot of the apps users (sailors) will often find themselves out of mobile signal, it would be great if we had access to some offline content.
iGrib used to do this adequately, but no longer available on iOS. Other apps offer a similar service, but are limited to GFS, and I really value the option to download other models (eg. UKV and Arome).
Please don’t suggest screenshots as a workaround…! Would be great to know if you have added this to your development pipeline
Thanks

There is a new feature since the beginning of this year in the web version of Windy. See Offline mode in the top of the menu.

It works on laptop and iPad.But it just keeps available the forecast downloaded before being offline. It is not like GRIBs received by satellite.
iGrib needed to be online to receive new GRIBs or to have a satellite connection.
