Widget problems

Regardings the home screen, I have a widget section "Windy". But for the new lock screen widgets the section is missing and I can only select a Windy widget by clicking "Vorschläge" (suggestions).
Seems to me like a bug. Perhaps a localization problem? I am on a german iOS / iPadOS.

The first screenshot was taken while adding a widget to the homescreen of my iPhone. There is a Windy section.
The second screenhots shows adding a widget to the lock screen of my iPhone. The Windy section is missing.
But I can add a Windy widget to the iPhone lock screen by using the section "Vorschläge" (suggestions), which is shown in the third screenshot.
I have the same behaviour on my iPad.

My widget goes dark after a while after rebooting. P40 lite. Followed all recommendations including power saving.

@tkalfaoglu Can you please try to delete cache and data in Settings --> Apps --> Windy?

My device is iphone 11, same problems on iphone 7,
Russian language interface.

vertical dash lines look outplaced, probably they are lower than they should be
widget menu:
overlapping text
«Найти мое местоположение» & «Система слежения за ураганами»
It could be easily fixed if written in less verbose form,
«Найти меня»
typo:
should be «быстрого» instead of «тысрого»
also there is long words in menu items that is overflowing menu container (see the previous screenshot)

I'm having an issue with the Windy app widget on my Samsung Galaxy 21 with Android. The problem has been ongoing for the last 3 weeks or more where the temperature is completely off. I live in South Florida with the temperatures currently hanging out in the mid to upper 80s during the day and the temp shown is in the mid upper 20s and mid 30s. This makes no sense as the app itself displays the accurate temperatures.
The following steps are what I have taken to attempt to correct this matter:
- Verified that the widget is not set to Celsius, even toggled it back and forth from Celsius to Fahrenheit, no change.
- Deleted widget and add it back with same settings, no change.
- Changed weather model being used for widget, no change.
- Completely uninstalled the entire app after clearing out the application cache and stored data, completely started fresh with a new download and installation, set everything back up with my premium profile, added the widget back in the same manner as before, no change.
- I have gone out of town two separate weekends to different locations, the app had no issue updating to my new locations but continued to show the inaccurate temperatures in the widget.
I do not know what else I can do to fix this, this is clearly a bug that needs to be addressed.

@Landon-Cahow Can you provide a screenshot? What version of Android and Windy do you use?

@Landon-Cahow yes I also couldn't get my widget to use °F. I checked all my settings in the app and the website. I got it to work by clearing all user data and cache. I then uninstalled. I reinstalled and made sure I wasn't logged in. I used the app and set the units to °F and added the widget. I then logged in and everything was fine.

@Suty I am also having the same problem. All Temps are set to Fahrenheit and the widget is displaying Celsius.

Windy version 42.1.6 -
@mickm Hi, please try to remove widgets, then change units to celsius and back to Fahrenheit in the app. After that please try to add widgets back again.

J'ai un soucis avec le widget de windy, économies d'énergie éteinte, pas d'optimisation de batterie.
widget est cassé, il charge uniquement la météo lorsque vous configurez le widget, mais après cela, le widget est vide et indique qu'il n'a pas réussi à récupérer les données, même s'il y a des données et une connexion Wi-Fi. J'ai effacé les données, mais le problème persiste, veuillez le résoudre !

I am experiencing an issue with the Premium version of Windy. The "Detail Forecast widget" turns blank after a short period. When I manually refresh it, I consistently encounter a "Failed to retrieve forecast" error.
Current Configuration:
- Using default widget settings, with only one modification: 1-hour interval.
- Location setting: "My Location".
Troubleshooting Steps Taken:
- Allowed Windy to run in the background.
- Excluded Windy from battery optimization.
- Enabled notifications even in Do Not Disturb mode.
- Granted location access with high-accuracy (GPS) enabled.
- Ensured a stable connection (always on Wi-Fi or mobile data).
Device Information:
- Phone Model: OPPO (ColorOS, latest version 13).
- Storage: Sufficient space available.
Windy 46.0.4 (19 Jun 2025).
Additional Notes:
- The issue persists consistently and only affects the Detail Forecast widget. Other features appear to function normally.
Could you please assist in resolving this issue? Let me know if further details are required.

@DICKY-IBROHIM Hi. Thanks for the detailed report. I was able to simulate this case. The issue was that the OS limits resources for the widget and it exceeded the memory limit. I have already implemented the fix, it will be available with the next update. Thanks for your patience.

@MarkNagy , After 14 days or 2 weeks, I checked on the Play Store, and it still shows the latest version as June 14, 2025. Any news?.
